Manufacturing Details of the Sevylor Caravelle Boat
The boat is made with ultra-resistant PVC to prevent sharp objects from easily puncturing the material. Additionally, to further protect the boat’s structure, two air chambers have been installed in its walls. The boat consists of a main air chamber, a safety chamber, and 2 air chambers in the floor. The boat’s base is inflatable, distributed in vertical beams for greater protection and a better comfort feel.
In case of a puncture during your trip, do not panic, as the safety chamber will allow you to return to shore. If the damage is minor, you can easily repair the tear with a puncture repair kit.
It features a handle to drag the boat easily and properly without pinching the PVC material. It also includes holders for the oars and a perimeter rope. Furthermore, it has a Boston valve. A type of non-return valve that includes a two-way screw retaining air inside the chambers. This prevents the boat from deflating.
Another element included is a pressure measurement mechanism patented by Sevylor, the Sevytest. A feature shared by all Sevylor boats that indicates whether the boat needs more or less air.
