HOW DOES IT WORK?
Using your pool pump, water is automatically pumped through the solar collectors. When the sun heats the collectors, the water is then warmed as it moves through them. The heated water returns to the pool through the return lines. You enjoy your own heated pool without fuel costs.
The durable polypropylene material does not rust or corrode, and the collector is reversible.
1. The collector should feel cool to the touch when the sun is shining on it and water is passing through. This means heat is being transferred to the water.
2. The water returning to your pool will be a few degrees (3 to 5 degrees F / 2 to 3 degrees C) warmer than the pool itself. This is the most effective way to heat a large body of water like a pool. Keep circulating the water and add a few degrees each time it passes through.
3. Circulate water through the solar collector for at least 6 hours a day during daylight hours on sunny days. If you circulate water through the collector at night or on cloudy or cold days, it will cool your pool water instead of heating it.
If you need to run your pump at night, divert the water directly back to the pool and bypass the Solar System.
