detailed description
Gre Above Ground Pool Salt Chlorinator
The Above Ground Pool Salt Chlorinator is an automatic chlorine generation system, specifically designed to work with pools installed above ground level.
The system requires a small concentration of salt (sodium chloride) in the pool water for proper operation.
Salt levels are below the taste threshold of most people, having the effect of softening the water so it feels silkier and leaves hair and skin much softer than other chlorine-based products.
No installation of any kind is required.
State-of-the-art system tested throughout Europe.
Minimal maintenance.

How the Above Ground Pool Salt Chlorinator Works
The Above Ground Pool Salt Chlorinator disinfects your pool water by converting sodium chloride (salt) into chlorine ions through electrolysis.
The chlorine ions produced form hypochlorous acid, which kills bacteria and algae that are then removed by the pool filter.
Afterwards, the chlorine reverts to sodium chloride and the process starts again, in an almost endless cycle, so you will rarely need to add disinfectant to the pool.
The only way salt is lost is through rinsing with clean running water, or by spilling or draining the pool water. Therefore, you will only need to periodically replenish the salt content.
The Above Ground Pool Salt Chlorinator has been designed to supply disinfectant to the pool 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, keeping the water clean and clear.

What Type of Salt Should You Use for the Salt Chlorinator?
It is very important to use only sodium chloride (NaCl) with a purity of 99%.
This is generally available in various package sizes at most reputable pool supply stores and large homeware retailers.
Do not use rock salt, salt with a sodium ferrocyanide content greater than 1%, or salt with an anti-caking agent content greater than 1%.
DO NOT USE IODISED SALT.
How to Add Salt to the Salt Chlorinator
Turn on the filter and add salt directly to the pool.
Use a brush to dissolve and disperse the salt throughout the pool. You can also do this with a vacuum or a pool cleaning robot. Run the pump for the next 24 hours, using the main drain pipe for suction.
If you do not have a main drain pipe, use the pool vacuum. Do not add salt through the suction inlet; pour it directly into the pool and use the brush to dissolve it.
