Pool blinds
Floating slat pool shutters are essential elements that our pool can have to protect itself from various factors. Some of the main advantages of a pool shutter are security, sustainability, maintenance optimisation, and climate control.
Slat covers are an ideal solution for pools located in areas with trees and extensive vegetation, as they prevent leaves and plant debris from settling inside our pool. This feature results in less use of cleaning systems such as a pool cleaning robot or unnecessary use of salt chlorination and filtration.
Besides being a crucial element in pool safety and maintenance, a slat shutter adds distinction and elegance to the aesthetics of our garden. Thanks to its high degree of customisation, you can choose the model that best suits and adds decorative value to the environment where it will be installed.
Installing the shutters is straightforward; however, some masonry knowledge and tool handling skills are advisable. Some advantages of floating pool shutters are as follows:
The most comfortable and elegant option to cover your pool.
Slat pool covers approved by French standard NF P90-308.
Available in 3 types of material and various colours.
Protection against accidental and involuntary falls.
Prevents water evaporation, optimising water treatment.
Prevents heat loss, optimising climate control systems.
Protection against dirt and falling objects in the pool.
Components of our pool shutters
At Outlet Pool, we can manufacture your shutter according to the dimensions and shape of your pool. The range of shutters available in our store is very varied, including different ranges of floating slats, colours, types of supports, and roller systems. The covers are approved by the French Safety Standards NF P90-308, meeting the necessary safety objectives for pools. We can choose different options, such as elevated models, which are the best sellers and easiest to install on pools.
Custom-made slat shutter for your pool
We can make your shutter to measure as long as it has minimum dimensions of 5 x 3 m and maximum dimensions of 12 x 6 m. We also make shutters for different pool shapes. If you have a front or side Roman staircase, it will not be a problem. For your convenience, through our application, you can enter the exact measurements of your pool and get an instant quote for your shutter with the options you have chosen.
Types of slats available
Our shutters can be made with floating slats of 3 different materials: PVC, Polycarbonate, and Thermik Polycarbonate. In all cases, the slats are supplied properly sealed to ensure watertightness. Each of these materials can be customised in various colours and finishes so you can choose the one that best suits the decoration and environment of your pool. These are the materials and colours available for our pool cover shutters.
Shutter with PVC Slats
Shutters with extruded profile PVC slats of high resistance provide energy savings through thermal insulation and prevent water evaporation. They are an excellent quality-price option that maintains a pleasant and non-invasive aesthetic. PVC slats are available in colours: Blue, White, Beige, and Grey.
Shutter with Polycarbonate Slats
Shutters with polycarbonate slats can add heat to the pool water, specifically raising the water temperature by up to 4ºC. Transparent polycarbonate slats are more resistant than PVC ones, with a deformation point at 170ºC. Polycarbonate slats are available in the following colours: Blue, Crystal, and Grey.
Shutter with THERMIK Polycarbonate Slats
Shutters with THERMIK Polycarbonate slats are like the previous ones but with an opaque layer on the underside. This opaque layer provides extra heat to the water, capable of raising the temperature by up to 8ºC. Thermik Polycarbonate slats are available in the following colours: Blue Black (Blue on the upper side and black on the underside) and Grey Black (Grey on the upper side and black on the underside).
Types of roller systems available for shutters
Our shutter covers come with a roller system that offers numerous customisation possibilities according to your preferences and needs. They mainly consist of a 140mm diameter anodised aluminium winding tube compliant with the following standards: EN 573-3; EN 755-2; EN 12020-2. The traction and support shaft of all our models is made of stainless steel AISI 316 L. As we will see below, we offer the option to choose a manual roller operated by a crank or a motorised one that allows fully automatic opening and closing of the slat cover. Motorised rollers also offer the option of fully electric operation or solar-powered operation. Additionally, the roller can be fixed or mobile; the latter option allows it to be moved along rails to remove the rolled shutter and clear the entire pool perimeter. The last customisation option is the possibility to hide the shutter with a box. All these options can be combined to fully personalise your cover.
Manual or Automatic Roller
The first customisation option is the possibility of having a manual roller that can be comfortably operated by a crank or a motorised roller operated by a three-position key with automatic return to centre.
Manual Roller
Automatic Roller
Electric or Solar Automatic Roller
If you choose a motorised roller, you can opt for the electric model that operates via 220V single-phase electrical connection (with electrical panel included) or the solar model equipped with a battery to store energy captured from the sun.
Electric Automatic Roller
Solar Automatic Roller
Fixed or Mobile Roller
Our roller also offers the possibility of being installed fixed and permanent, or mobile via a rail system. The mobile roller allows you to remove it and clear the pool perimeter easily and comfortably.

Mobile Roller
Roller with optional box
We can also install a casing box for your shutter and roller. This box is made of PVC profiles and protects the elements that make up your slat cover, as well as adding a special decorative touch.

Shutter with rounded edges
If your pool has rounded corners, we can also make your shutter to measure. Our application will ask for the radii of those corners, so you can have your shutter perfectly fitting your pool without leaving uncovered areas for this reason.
Hinge for pool with side staircase
If you have a pool with a side staircase, you might face difficulties when rolling up the shutter. For this purpose, we install a hinge in these cases. The shutter folds over itself at the protruding part of the staircase, allowing it to be rolled up.
Overflow pool kit
In an overflow pool, deploying a floating slat shutter can be problematic. For this, we offer the overflow pool kit. It consists of bolts installed at the ends of the shutter that allow it to deploy without leaving the pool area.
Installation video of a pool shutter
In the following video, you can see the steps to correctly install a pool shutter. For this video, a model with white PVC slats and a fixed motorised roller system was installed. For this and any installation, it is essential to have the necessary tools and knowledge to carry it out successfully. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any questions you may have.
