Azuro Sand Filter 2 m³/h
The Azuro Sand Filter 2 m³/h by Mountfield is an ideal filtration system for above-ground pools up to 8,000 L capacity. A water cleaning and filtration unit designed to keep your pool free from debris and dirt.
Sand filters are one of the most attractive options available on the market today. Their superior efficiency compared to cartridge filters guarantees crystal-clear and transparent water results. The sand acts as a filtering agent, trapping impurities in the gaps formed between the sand grains, which significantly increases the filtration capacity of the filter.
The Azuro filter has a flow rate of 2 m³/h, making it a recommended option for small pools. Its tank has a capacity for 10 Kg of silica sand (Sand not included with the Azuro filter), with a grain size of 0.6 – 1.2 mm.
Azuro Filter Multiport Valve Positions
The filter includes a manual multiport valve with 6 available options. Depending on the task you expect the filter to perform, you will select one position or another.
Filtration
Water is filtered through the sand. Debris and dirt remain trapped in the gaps created by the irregular shapes of the sand grains.
Backwash
Water is introduced inside the filter with the purpose of washing the sand and removing all the dirt particles it has collected. The water does not return to the pool but is redirected to a drain.
Closed
Position to close all valve ports. This mode should be selected when performing any maintenance on the suction pump or its pre-filter.
Recirculation
An option to keep the water in constant movement without performing filtration. A key position when dosing chemicals to ensure even distribution throughout the water volume.
Rinse
After backwashing the sand to remove accumulated dirt, some grains remain suspended. Rinsing ensures that sand not settled in the tank is flushed to the drain instead of back into the pool.
Drain
An option designed to reduce the pool water volume. Water travels directly from the pool to the drain without passing through the filter. Ideal after a storm when the pool’s capacity has increased.
