What are mini LED spotlights?

Mini LED spotlights are lights designed to illuminate small surfaces. These can be small pools, spas, or bathtubs. In the case of pools, they are ideal for lighting areas that other spotlights cannot illuminate due to their size.

For example, they are very useful for use in stair areas. Due to the limited space between steps, they are the only spotlights we can use. They are also commonly used to mark pathways. In terms of safety, they offer great assurance. They are often used in areas that go unnoticed when designing outdoor lighting but are very important to prevent accidents, such as stairs or paths, which must be properly lit to avoid falls.

We can also use them as an aesthetic touch. Perhaps there are areas that do not need lighting but will give the space a different nocturnal touch.

What type of light do mini LED spotlights offer?

Mini LED spotlights offer intense brightness despite their size. Ideal for detail lighting or small spaces. Available in white light and RGB light.

Although they are small in size, they provide significant light intensity. Obviously not as much as larger spotlights, but they can serve as a basic light point. To achieve this lighting, they usually come with 3 LED bulbs. What we must keep in mind is that this is a different type of lighting compared to other spotlights. It is a softer lighting. As mentioned, ideal for small spaces or to create special atmospheres.

They also offer a wide variety of colours. They can be found both in white light and RGB light.

How are mini LED spotlights installed?

Mini LED spotlights can be installed with a niche or with a nozzle. Ideally, place one mini LED spotlight every 5m2 of water surface.

Mini LED spotlights with niche

These spotlights have a bulging rear part. This is known as a niche. It is a much smaller niche than conventional spotlights, and also smaller than larger LED spotlights with niches. This niche houses all the electrical mechanism needed for the spotlight to function. This niche is embedded into the pool wall. It requires a hole to embed the spotlight. It is completely integrated into the pool wall.

Mini LED spotlights with nozzle

This type of spotlight requires a piece for installation. This piece is the nozzle that acts as a wall bushing. It is glued, and the spotlight screws into this piece.

Where can mini LED spotlights be installed?

Mini LED spotlights can be installed in small pools, spas, or bathtubs. In pools, they are used to illuminate small areas, such as steps. They can be installed in concrete or prefabricated pools. Installation is possible both outside and inside the water.
