How does my Zodiac MX8 pool robot work?
A hydraulic suction pool cleaner is very simple to operate. It does not rely on electronics or electricity, making it an energy-saving device. These mechanical robots connect to the skimmer or a dedicated suction outlet in your pool. The power of the pump installed in your pool creates suction to move the robot, while internal propellers vacuum up debris from the floor. Debris can be stored in an additional pre-filter, such as the Cyclonic leaf collector, to prevent dirt from reaching your filter or skimmer.
They are usually made with a single body, and the hoses typically include 12 sections to cover about 12 metres of pool length. They are very easy to assemble, but it is important to have at least a 3/4HP pump and to avoid air leaks and kinks in the cleaner circuit, as these can prevent proper suction.
Can I swim while it is operating? There is no problem; hydraulic pool cleaners work by suction and have no electrical systems to worry about. Although electric cleaners and robots are also completely safe. The only thing to keep in mind is not to damage or twist the hoses while swimming to avoid blockages.
