Belonging to the category of pressure hydraulic pool cleaners, it requires the activity of a booster pump to ensure its operation. Instead of working with suction, it connects to the pool return. This pump is not integrated into the pool filtration system; it has the sole function of propelling the robot. The pump will provide the pool cleaner with the necessary force and thrust to guarantee its random movement throughout the pool. The Polaris 280 pool cleaner must be connected to the pump via a 9.60 m long hose connection.

Technological features of the Polaris 280 robot
The robot integrates an efficient transmission system that allows it to move quickly throughout the pool, regardless of the shape of the basin. Its automatic and random movements ensure brushing and vacuuming of the entire surface.
It incorporates 2 jets, placed one in front of the other, which create a homogeneous Venturi effect that ensures the pool cleaner adheres to the pool floor. The double jets provide greater vacuum power and speed up the cleaning process.
The included filter bag retains impurities and debris vacuumed by the robot. This way, it reduces the dirt load on the pump by retaining larger residues. Easy to clean, empty and reinstall.

Suction and cleaning system
As a hydraulic pool cleaner, it requires the force and pressure of water for its operation. The water used to move the robot comes from the pool. Water is drawn through the pool skimmers and main drain thanks to the suction pump integrated into the water filtration circuit. After water filtration, most of the flow is returned to the pool. However, through a bypass pipe connection, the booster pump is supplied. The Polaris 280 pressure pool cleaner connects to the suction port, converted into a return port. Thanks to the Venturi effect generated by the jets, the water intake becomes a powerful suction current, which is used to facilitate the pool cleaner's movement.
