Saunas
If you are thinking about buying a home sauna, in our store you will find practically all the options available on the market. You can choose between indoor saunas or outdoor saunas. Additionally, you can also opt for infrared sauna models or steam sauna models. Infrared saunas are domestic saunas that heat through infrared rays, which are not harmful to health at all and also have a really low energy consumption. Having a sauna at home does not mean spending more on your electricity bill. If you prefer the traditional option, you could definitely go for steam saunas. This type of sauna is heated by steam produced by an electric or wood stove. The sessions are longer, although the sweating time is much shorter. Home saunas are an excellent investment. A great way to say goodbye to stress and also improve your health; domestic saunas, just like professional saunas, provide numerous benefits for our body, improving, among others, the nervous system, circulation, and making our skin look smoother and more radiant.

Reviews of Saunas
What is a sauna and what is it for?
A sauna is a space where a very high temperature is reached. The purpose of this temperature is to induce sweating in the human body.
There are two types of saunas: infrared saunas and steam saunas, the latter also known as Finnish or traditional saunas. Both steam and infrared saunas are dry saunas. If we were to talk about wet saunas, we would be referring to Turkish baths or hammams.
In a steam or Finnish sauna, temperatures between 70ºC and 100ºC are reached, with a relatively high humidity inside. On the other hand, infrared saunas reach temperatures between 35ºC and 50ºC inside.
Additionally, the relative humidity inside is minimal and never exceeds 20%. Saunas, whether steam or infrared, have a clear purpose. On one hand, they can relax the human nervous system. They are also excellent for helping the body release toxins and activate circulation through sweating.

Differences between steam and infrared saunas
The differences between steam saunas and infrared saunas are many. Although structurally we are talking about two products made with the same type of wood, the system by which they are heated is different. The steam sauna is heated through a wood or electric stove, while the infrared sauna is heated by infrared ray panels. The heat is generated differently and affects us differently as well. In steam saunas, the stove produces the heat; the user pours water over the volcanic stones of the stove to generate it and spread it throughout the room. Heating the interior of the sauna causes the people inside to receive the heat. On the other hand, in infrared saunas, infrared radiation works; in this case, the infrared waves do not heat the room but directly heat the people inside the sauna. Both types of saunas are suitable for installation and use at home.
However, steam saunas should be used at temperatures between 70ºC and 100ºC, while infrared saunas are used at temperatures between approximately 35ºC and 50ºC. The onset of sweating will vary depending on whether you have a domestic steam or infrared sauna. In Finnish or steam saunas, people start sweating between 8 and 12 minutes, while in infrared saunas, an individual will start sweating between 10 and 15 minutes. We provide the following infographic so you can discover the benefits and differences between the different types of saunas. You can also find more information on this topic in our Blog in the article covering the differences between Steam and Infrared Saunas

How long can you stay inside a sauna?
In the case of a traditional steam sauna, the recommended session time is between 15 and 20 minutes. For an infrared sauna, the session can last from 30 to 40 minutes.
It is recommended to rest once the recommended session time has passed. It is also advisable to sit down to gradually recover the vertical position and avoid any dizziness that may occur.

Advantages of having your own sauna at home
The advantages of having a domestic sauna are many. Consider the following points and decide to make this investment that will make your life much easier and more peaceful:
Saves time. No need to travel to the gym or wellness centre. Take the session whenever you want and at any time.
Greater privacy as you do not have to share the sauna with other users.
An item that will make your home a luxury space.
Relaxing sessions that will make you much calmer and in a better mood.
Elimination of toxins through the skin.
Much cleaner and smoother skin.
Relief from muscle pain caused by injuries.
A system that encourages sleep and will regulate your insomnia without the need for other treatments.
A good element to use in sports warm-ups.
Sessions that eliminate muscle stiffness and tightness.
If we look at the effects of home saunas, some stand out more than others. For example, tissues gain flexibility, which facilitates the elimination of muscle stiffness and tightness. If there are athletes at home, it is an excellent complement to training. Saunas also help eliminate toxins produced by free radicals or by the consumption of substances such as tobacco or alcohol. Likewise, it is a procedure that greatly benefits our skin, as it removes all impurities leaving it radiant and clean.

Let us not forget that home saunas also improve physical fitness. With that increase in heart rate and blood pressure, we will gradually improve physical condition. It has been proven that 10 minutes in a sauna is equivalent to about 5 km of light running, which translates into increased blood flow and faster recovery from daily physical efforts.
